Home Alone In Concert

Experience the beloved 1990s box office hit, Home Alone In Concert, on the big screen with the SLSO performing John Williams’ charming and delightful score live. See what antics eight-year-old Kevin McCallister comes up with when he is accidentally left behind from family vacation. (Did you know this 1990s classic is the highest grossing holiday film of all time??)

The Symphony plays the live score as the beloved Christmas movie plays on the big screen. This family-friendly event is so popular, The Symphony added an additional show!

Walt Disney Animation Studios: A Decade in Concert

Family-favorite Disney songs from favorite Walt Disney Animation Studios films released over the last decade will thrill all ages of concert goers! Songs performed live and are paired with movie clips on the big screen. The performance will include music from MoanaTangled, the Academy Award–winning FrozenWreck-It RalphZootopia and more!

2019 Family Concerts

The SLSO’s Family Concert series continues Sunday, February 17, 2019 at 3pm with the performance of Cinderella! This classic fairy tale is brought to life by selections from Prokofiev’s vibrant and colorful score. Share this timeless tale with your family, one with a message that good things come to those who are patient, persistent, and compassionate. Also, as a bonus, the SLSO’s Music Director Designate, Stéphane Denève, will conduct this whimsical performance. Be sure to arrive early at 2pm for photo with a princess and her prince, and to explore the musical playground!

Finally, the Family Concert Series concludes on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at 3pm with the performance of Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saëns. This beloved all-time favorite introduces children to classical music as each of the movements represent a different member of the animal kingdom that will have the whole family giggling. You’ll want to swim like a swan, hop like a kangaroo and strut like a lion after experiencing this wild menagerie of music! Be sure to arrive early for this concert, too, starting at 2pm to explore the musical playground!
