Summer in St. Louis: 10 Kid-Friendly Patios

Dining out with children can be tricky, but it doesn’t have to be impossible! One of my family’s favorite summer traditions is outdoor dining. Here is a list of our favorite kid and family-friendly patios in St. Louis!

The Boathouse at Forest Park

Enjoy unique waterside dining that is kid friendly. Paddleboat rentals are available, and there are plenty of ducks and fish to watch.

Hacienda Mexican Restaurant

This gorgeous patio offers kids menu and family friendly atmosphere plus margaritas for mom and dad.

Schlafly Bottleworks

This lovely patio in downtown Maplewood has frequent live music, onsite microbrewery, locally sourced American fare with crayons and coloring pages for the kids.

Kaldi’s Kirkwood

For coffee, light fare and delicious bakery items, Kaldi’s Kirkwood is a lovely spot.  The patio overlooking the train station is fun for the kids.

Rooster

This trendy European-style cafe boasts brunch fare with a patio full of picnic tables overlooking bustling South Grand.

City Garden- Kaldi’s

The patio overlooks the City Garden for the best breakfast with the kids before heading to the fountains for a splash.

Olympia Kabob and Taverna

This classic Greek restaurant in Richmond Height is a fun place to take the kids for something completely different from amazing hummus to flaming cheese that will leave the kids speechless.

Creve Coeur Lake House

This out-of-the-way relaxed American restaurant has a patio that overlooks Mallard Lake and walking path at Creve Coeur park.

Old Mill Stream Inn

This vintage tavern tucked away at the south end of Main Street in St. Charles is a lovely evening out.  The patio is beautiful and shaded and the menu has plenty of things for the kids.

BrickTop’s

For a gourmet night out, Brick Top’s Patio at Plaza Frontenac is absolutely gorgeous.  They have a nice kid’s menu and the tables are covered in paper so that the kids never run out of room to color.
