Dessert is a must in our homes here at St. Louis Mom, and we admit we’re looking for lots of different ways to make meals extra special this year. We’re partnering with Hudsonville Ice Cream, proudly Midwest-made for almost a century and now available in every Schnucks store throughout the Midwest.

Simply put, we are all looking for ways to celebrate even life’s littlest moments, and we’ve found that in Hudsonville Ice Cream! Hudsonville Ice Cream has been making life’s memories even sweeter for more than 90 years and is dedicated to excellence. From their all-season flavors and mouth-watering seasonal Limited Editions, to their delicious Dairy Free pints and most notably their newly released Extra Indulgent line, there is truly a flavor for everyone. So while it’s been a tough year, we’ve found Hudsonville Ice Cream is always there to remind us that life is still sweet and to be shared, even if with just a few people.

We recently spent some time in the kitchen and here are some simple, fall-themed desserts that our kids love, all featuring Hudsonville Ice Cream flavors!

Raspberry Sundae

To be honest, there’s nothing we love more than a tasty and delicious sundae we can throw together with just a few ingredients! Plus, these are a crowd pleaser for any age. We came up with this simple raspberry sundae, incorporating some of our favorite fall colors and flavors. Just scoop your Raspberry Chocolate Chunk ice cream into a bowl and top with blackberries and gingersnap. It’s that easy!

Here are the ingredients:

Pumpkin Bars Dessert

This brownie recipe has a scrumptious balance of pumpkin spice and chocolate flavors, but it is really dense. Adding Hudsonville’s Extra Indulgent Salted Caramel Brownie flavor complemented the rich flavor. The last few bites with melted caramel-y ice cream and brownie crumbs were absolute decadence. We paired this pumpkin brownie with Hudsonville’s Salted Caramel Brownie flavor – pure heaven!

Here are the ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups Truvia Baking Blend
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 cup semi sweet-chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

Pumpkin Joe Joe’s

We pulled together a quick recipe that our kiddos gobbled down FAST. You’ll need just two ingredients: Trader Joes Pumpkin Joe Joe’s and your choice of Hudsonville Ice Cream (we used Creamery Blend Vanilla, the most delicious vanilla ice cream I’ve ever had with 13% butterfat!). Put a generous portion of ice cream between two Joe Joe’s, and voilà! A simple dessert that we guarantee would be devoured in minutes.

What Makes Hudsonville Extra Tasty??

Hudsonville combines time-tested recipes with the freshest ingredients, like milk and cream from local dairy farms, to make flavors people know and love better than ever. They use the same recipe from 1926 to make their ice cream base.

Hudsonville’s combinations are classic, but with a unique twist! Their flavors aren’t like other ice cream brands – you’ll get a delicious flavor with a surprise mix-in you weren’t expecting.

Schnucks carries Hudsonville’s creamy and delicious 48-oz traditional flavors like Traverse City Cherry Fudge, SuperScoop, and Triple Peanut Butter Cup, perfect for sharing! Hudsonville’s Extra Indulgent pint line is also available at Schnucks. Introduced earlier this year with more swirls and pieces in every bite for a more indulgent ice cream, you’ll find flavors like Cake Batter, Cookie Overload, and Mint Cookie Dough.
